İmanı Kuvvetlendirme Duası Okunuşu ve Anlamı

Dua Text

Transliteration

Allahumma inni as’aluka sihhatan fi iman, wa imanan fi husni khuluq, wa najahan yatba’uhu falah, wa rahmatan minka wa ‘afiyah, wa maghfiratan minka wa ridwana.

Meaning

O Allah! I ask You for soundness in faith, for faith joined with good character, and for success that is followed by salvation. I ask You for Your mercy, well-being, forgiveness and Your good pleasure.

What Is Asked in This Dua

In the dua for strengthening faith, the believer first asks for soundness in faith; that is, a firm faith free of doubt, corruption and weakness. Then they ask for “faith joined with good character”, because, as the source also emphasizes, faith does not stay only in the heart but must be reflected in one’s character. Next, they ask for “success that is followed by salvation”: not a passing success, but an achievement that ultimately leads to falah, that is, eternal salvation.

In the second part of the dua, the believer lists the greatest requests: mercy, well-being, forgiveness and good pleasure from Allah. Mercy means being embraced in this world and the Hereafter, well-being means health of body and soul, forgiveness means the covering of sins, and good pleasure means that Allah is pleased with His servant. In a short text, the soundness of faith, the beauty of character and the pleasure of Allah are all asked for together.

When and How to Recite

The source does not mention a specific time or number of recitations for this dua. According to its description, it can be recited at any time when asking for stronger faith and character, or when sensing weakness in faith or laxity in conduct, especially after prayers.

It is preferable to be in a state of wudu. It should be recited while reflecting on each request one by one: soundness in faith, good character, success that leads to salvation, mercy, well-being, forgiveness and good pleasure. Anyone who finds the Arabic difficult can present the same requests to Allah through its meaning in their own language.
