Dhikr means remembering Allah and keeping Him in mind. Repeating phrases such as subhanallah, alhamdulillah, Allahu akbar and la ilaha illallah is the most common form of dhikr.
Subhanallah, alhamdulillah and Allahu akbar are each said thirty-three times, followed by the words of tawhid. In this section the order of the post-prayer tasbih is given on a separate page.
For dhikr whose number is given in a hadith, that number is followed (as with the post-prayer tasbih). For the others, the number is up to you; consistency matters more than the number.
