E.g. dua for healing, salawat, morning dhikr
Explanation: This is a munajat (intimate prayer) attributed to the ascetic Ibrahim ibn Adham. It describes the servant confessing his sins and seeking refuge in Allah's pardon alone,…
“Whoever performs the Fajr prayer in congregation is under Allah’s protection until evening.”
Muslim, Masajid 261Debt places both a material and a spiritual burden on a person’s shoulders; the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ sought refuge in Allah from debt and taught special duas for those in debt. This section gathers the duas recited to be freed from debt, to attain halal income with which to repay it, and to escape financial hardship.
Duas for debt are not a charm recited on its own; they are the plea for Allah’s help of a servant who works with the intention of repaying, gives up wastefulness and deals honestly with the creditor. The dua found in the hadiths, “O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful against what You have made unlawful, and by Your grace make me independent of all besides You”, is the essence of this understanding.
For each dua, the Arabic text with full vowel marks, the transliteration and the meaning are given, and the source in which it appears is stated.

This is the dua that Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) described to someone,…
The best known is the dua that Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: “Allahummakfini bi halalika 'an haramika wa aghnini bi fadlika 'amman siwak”; it asks to be content with the lawful and not fall into the unlawful, and by Allah’s grace not to be dependent on anyone. The dua taught for distress and debt, “Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazan…”, is also recited.
There is no set time. It is recited in the morning and evening, after the prayers and at moments when the burden of debt grows heavy; the sources recommend reciting it consistently.
Dua is placed alongside the effort to repay, not in its place. Cutting unnecessary spending, not taking on new debt, speaking openly with the creditor and working for halal income complement the dua; the sources state that Allah is the one who gives provision, while taking the means is the servant’s duty.
