Dates follow the 2026–2030 list of Islamic holidays published by Diyanet (Turkish Presidency of Religious Affairs); holy nights begin on the evening of the listed day, with the Isha prayer. Eid prayer times are for the selected provincial center and are calculated with the same method as the Diyanet calendar.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the holy nights in Islam?
The nights of Mawlid, Raghaib, Miraj, Bara'ah and Qadr are observed as holy nights (known in Turkey as kandil). Because they are set by the Hijri calendar, their Gregorian dates move about eleven days earlier every year; this page lists their dates up to the year 2030.
What should you do on a holy night?
On these nights it is common to pray, read the Quran, repent and seek forgiveness (istighfar), send salawat and make dua. The sources do not mention any special act of worship made obligatory for these nights; what is done is voluntary worship.
How is the Eid prayer time determined?
The Eid prayer is held about forty-five minutes after sunrise, once the makruh time has ended. Because the time differs for each province, the page lists Eid prayer times province by province.
When does Ramadan start?
The start of Ramadan is determined by the Hijri calendar and comes about eleven days earlier every year. The dates on this page follow the calculation method used in Turkey and match the calendar announced by the Diyanet (Turkish Presidency of Religious Affairs).
