Meaning

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. O Allah, just as You granted harmony with blessing and ease between our father Adam and our mother Hawwa (peace be upon them), grant such harmony between these two young people too, just as You granted it between our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and our mothers ‘A’ishah and Khadijah. O Allah, place between them the love You placed between ‘Ali and Fatimah az-Zahra, and the love You placed between the daughters of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and ‘Uthman Dhun-Nurayn. O Allah, grant the two lawful spouses the sweetness You granted between Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) and Safura; make them joyful for the sake of our mother Hajar, for You are indeed Most Forgiving. Have mercy on them for the sake of Rahimah, the wife of Ayyub. O Allah, make their affairs easy, bless their lives and grant them provision, O Best of providers; make their creation beautiful, make their character good and grant them good offspring, O Best of creators. O Allah, grant them good children; do not give them wicked and wretched children, and make their children intercessors for their parents. O Allah, veil us with Your beautiful veil and protect us from fornication through marriage, O You who conceal much, O Sattar; do not expose their secrets and forgive their faults, O Ghafur, O Ghaffar. O Allah, increase the Ummah of Muhammad and make its affairs easy, for the sake of Your Prophet Muhammad, his family and his companions. Peace be upon all the prophets, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
