Dear Muslims!
In these days when we celebrate the birth of the Prophet (pbuh) with the theme of "Our Prophet and Good Morality"; We strive to share with our society the necessity of being a person like him who inspires trust in those around him and whose words and hands are safe. One of the areas where we need to reflect the virtue of being reliable and trustworthy, identified with our Prophet (pbuh), is our trade.
Dear Believers!
First of all, let's state this: The divine and prophetic principles that guide every aspect of our lives also guide us in our trade. These principles are religious, humanitarian and conscientious; Values such as pursuing halal earnings, being honest and trustworthy, avoiding unfair competition, making justice, truthfulness and honesty prevail in trade, and complying with contracts.
Dear Muslims!
Our generous nation; He created an organization like Ahi Order with the inspiration he received from our religion, civilization and customs. With this organization, trade, craft and mastery; It brought together morality, contentment and the understanding of raising good people, and built a bridge of brotherhood between tradesmen and customers. In fact, this bridge of brotherhood he established has become such that; It paved the way for many people to be honored with Islam and many lands to be conquered without a sword. Our glorious ancestors; “Service to the public is service to God!” He acted with consciousness, his generations; “Take care of your hand, your waist, your tongue!” He was raised with this motto:
Dear Brothers and Sisters!
We regret to say that some of our people can put material things ahead of everything else; He can see deception as cunning and deception as success. Our Prophet (pbuh) said, "He who deceives us is not one of us!" While his warning is obvious, he can consider hiding the defects of his goods for the sake of worldly gain as mastery and distorting the truth as a marketing technique.
Hey Tradesman Brother!
Hey Merchant Brother!
O Brother Craftsman!
At this point, what is expected from us is; It means heeding the warning of our Almighty Lord, "Woe to those who cheat in measuring and weighing! When they measure something from people, they measure it accurately. But when they measure or weigh something and give it to them, they measure it incompletely and weigh it." What is expected from us; It is to fulfill our duties as a servant to Allah and to comply with the rights of people and the public, without getting involved in daily activities. We do not trade in things that are expected from us and are forbidden by our religion; To stay away from illegitimate methods such as bribery, interest, black marketeering and hoarding.
Dear Muslims!
It reminds us that to the extent that we reflect the Ahi principles, which derive their source from divine revelation and the Sunnah of our Prophet (pbuh), to our trade, we will strengthen trust, tranquility, peace and justice in our society; We end our sermon with the following prayer of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh): "May Allah have mercy on those who act tolerantly and make it easy when selling, buying, and demanding their receivables."
