What Is Asked in This Dua

Protection is asked for from the trial of the Fire and of the grave, from the trial of wealth and of poverty, and from the evil of the Dajjal. The dua accepts that both too much wealth and no wealth at all can corrupt a person, and seeks refuge from both at once.

When and How to Recite

It has no set time, and the source does not give a number either. It is recommended to recite it when giving zakat, when your earnings increase or in times of hardship; reciting it after the prayers is common.

The source book states that this is a very concise and heartfelt dua that brings together the themes of seeking refuge in Allah (al-Haqq) from the most fearsome places.
