Surah Nuh

إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦٓ أَنۡ أَنذِرۡ قَوۡمَكَ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن يَأۡتِيَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمࣱ‏ ﴿١﴾

İnna erselna nuhan ila kavmihi en enzir kavmeke min kabli en ye´tiyehum ´azabun eliymun

“We sent Noah to his People (with the Command): "Do thou warn thy People before there comes to them a grievous Penalty”

قَالَ يَٰقَوۡمِ إِنِّي لَكُمۡ نَذِيرࣱ مُّبِينٌ ﴿٢﴾

Kale ya kavmi inniy lekum neziyrun mubiynun

“He said: "O my People! I am to you a Warner, clear and open”

أَنِ ٱعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱتَّقُوهُ وَأَطِيعُونِ ﴿٣﴾

Enı´budullahe vettekuhu ve etiy´uni

“That ye should worship God, fear Him and obey me”

يَغۡفِرۡ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمۡ وَيُؤَخِّرۡكُمۡ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلࣲ مُّسَمًّىۚ إِنَّ أَجَلَ ٱللَّهِ إِذَا جَآءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُۚ لَوۡ كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ ﴿٤﴾

Yağfir lekum min zunubikum ve yuahhırkum ila ecelin musemmen inne ecelellahi iza cae la yuahharu lev kuntum ta´lemune

“So He may forgive you your sins and give you respite for a stated Term: for when the Term given by God is accomplished, it cannot be put forward: if ye only knew”

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي دَعَوۡتُ قَوۡمِي لَيۡلࣰ ا وَنَهَارࣰ ا ﴿٥﴾

Kale rabbi inniy de´avtu kavmiy leylen ve neharen

“He said: "O my Lord! I have called to my People night and day”

فَلَمۡ يَزِدۡهُمۡ دُعَآءِيٓ إِلَّا فِرَارࣰ ا ﴿٦﴾

Felem yezidhum du´aiy illa firaren

“But my call only increases (their) flight (from the Right)”

وَإِنِّي كُلَّمَا دَعَوۡتُهُمۡ لِتَغۡفِرَ لَهُمۡ جَعَلُوٓاْ أَصَٰبِعَهُمۡ فِيٓ ءَاذَانِهِمۡ وَٱسۡتَغۡشَوۡاْ ثِيَابَهُمۡ وَأَصَرُّواْ وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ ٱسۡتِكۡبَارࣰ ا ﴿٧﴾

Ve inniy kullema de´avtuhum litağfire lehum ce´alu ezabi´ahum fiy azanihim vestağşev siyabehum ve esarru vestekberustikbaren

“And every time I have called to them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they have (only) thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, grown obstinate, and given themselves up to arrogance”

ثُمَّ إِنِّي دَعَوۡتُهُمۡ جِهَارࣰ ا ﴿٨﴾

Summe iniy de´avtuhum ciharen

“So I have called to them aloud”

ثُمَّ إِنِّيٓ أَعۡلَنتُ لَهُمۡ وَأَسۡرَرۡتُ لَهُمۡ إِسۡرَارࣰ ا ﴿٩﴾

Summe inniy a´lentu lehum ve esrertu lehum israren

“Further I have spoken to them in public and secretly in private”

فَقُلۡتُ ٱسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ رَبَّكُمۡ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفَّارࣰ ا ﴿١٠﴾

Fekultüstağfiru rabbekum innehu kane ğaffaren

“Saying, 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; for He is Oft-Forgiving”

يُرۡسِلِ ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيۡكُم مِّدۡرَارࣰ ا ﴿١١﴾

Yursilissemae ´aleykum midraren

“He will send rain to you in abundance”

وَيُمۡدِدۡكُم بِأَمۡوَٰلࣲ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجۡعَل لَّكُمۡ جَنَّٰتࣲ وَيَجۡعَل لَّكُمۡ أَنۡهَٰرࣰ ا ﴿١٢﴾

Ve yumdidkum biemvalin ve beniyne ve yec´al lekum cennatin ve yec´al lekum enharen

“Give you increase in wealth and sons; and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers (of flowing water)”

مَّا لَكُمۡ لَا تَرۡجُونَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارࣰ ا ﴿١٣﴾

Malekum la tercune lillahi vekaren

“What is the matter with you, that ye place not your hope for kindness and long-suffering in God”

وَقَدۡ خَلَقَكُمۡ أَطۡوَارًا ﴿١٤﴾

Ve kad halekakum atvaren

“Seeing that it is He that has created you in diverse stages”

أَلَمۡ تَرَوۡاْ كَيۡفَ خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ سَبۡعَ سَمَٰوَٰتࣲ طِبَاقࣰ ا ﴿١٥﴾

Elem terev keyfe halekallahu seb´a semavetin tıbakan

“See ye not how God has created the seven heavens one above another”

وَجَعَلَ ٱلۡقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُورࣰ ا وَجَعَلَ ٱلشَّمۡسَ سِرَاجࣰ ا ﴿١٦﴾

Ve ce´alelkamere fiyhinne nuren ve ce´aleşşemse siracen

“And made the moon a light in their midst, and made the sun as a (Glorious) Lamp”

وَٱللَّهُ أَنۢبَتَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ نَبَاتࣰ ا ﴿١٧﴾

Vallahu enbetekum minel´ardı nebaten

“And God has produced you from the earth growing (gradually)”

ثُمَّ يُعِيدُكُمۡ فِيهَا وَيُخۡرِجُكُمۡ إِخۡرَاجࣰ ا ﴿١٨﴾

Summe yu´ıydukum fiyha ve yuhricukum ıhracen

“And in the End He will return you into the (earth), and raise you forth (again at the Resurrection)”

وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِسَاطࣰ ا ﴿١٩﴾

Vallahu ce´alelekumul(arda bisatan)

“And God has made the earth for you as a carpet (spread out)”

لِّتَسۡلُكُواْ مِنۡهَا سُبُلࣰ ا فِجَاجࣰ ا ﴿٢٠﴾

Litesluku minha subulen ficacen

“That ye may go about therein, in spacious roads”

قَالَ نُوحࣱ رَّبِّ إِنَّهُمۡ عَصَوۡنِي وَٱتَّبَعُواْ مَن لَّمۡ يَزِدۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَوَلَدُهُۥٓ إِلَّا خَسَارࣰ ا ﴿٢١﴾

Kale nuhun rabbi innehum ´asavniy vettebe´u men lem yezidhu maluhu ve veleduhu illa hasaren

“Noah said: "O my Lord! They have disobeyed me, but they follow (men) whose wealth and children give them no increase but only Loss”

وَمَكَرُواْ مَكۡرࣰ ا كُبَّارࣰ ا ﴿٢٢﴾

Ve mekeru mekren kubbaren

“And they have devised a tremendous Plot”

وَقَالُواْ لَا تَذَرُنَّ ءَالِهَتَكُمۡ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدࣰّ ا وَلَا سُوَاعࣰ ا وَلَا يَغُوثَ وَيَعُوقَ وَنَسۡرࣰ ا ﴿٢٣﴾

Ve kalu la tezerune alihetekum ve la tezerunne vedden ve la suva´an ve la yeğuse ve ye´uka ve naren

“And they have said (to each other), 'Abandon not your gods: Abandon neither Wadd nor Suwa', neither Yaguth nor Ya'uq, nor Nasr”

وَقَدۡ أَضَلُّواْ كَثِيرࣰ اۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا ضَلَٰلࣰ ا ﴿٢٤﴾

Ve kad edallu kesiyren ve la tezidizzalimiyne illa dalalen

“They have already misled many; and grant Thou no increase to the wrong-doers but in straying (from their mark)”

مِّمَّا خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِهِمۡ أُغۡرِقُواْ فَأُدۡخِلُواْ نَارࣰ ا فَلَمۡ يَجِدُواْ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَنصَارࣰ ا ﴿٢٥﴾

Minma hatiyatihim uğriku feudhıhu naren felem yecidu lehum min dunillahi ensaren

“Because of their sins they were drowned (in the flood), and were made to enter the Fire (of Punishment): and they found- in lieu of God- none to help them”

وَقَالَ نُوحࣱ رَّبِّ لَا تَذَرۡ عَلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مِنَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ دَيَّارًا ﴿٢٦﴾

Ve kale nuhun rabbiy la tezer ´alel´ardı minelkafiriyne deyyaren

“And Noah, said: "O my Lord! Leave not of the Unbelievers, a single one on earth”

إِنَّكَ إِن تَذَرۡهُمۡ يُضِلُّواْ عِبَادَكَ وَلَا يَلِدُوٓاْ إِلَّا فَاجِرࣰ ا كَفَّارࣰ ا ﴿٢٧﴾

İnneke in tezerhum yuodıllu ´ıbadeke ve la yehidu illa faciren keffaren

“For, if Thou dost leave (any of) them, they will but mislead Thy devotees, and they will breed none but wicked ungrateful ones”

رَّبِّ ٱغۡفِرۡ لِي وَلِوَٰلِدَيَّ وَلِمَن دَخَلَ بَيۡتِيَ مُؤۡمِنࣰ ا وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتِۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا تَبَارَۢا ﴿٢٨﴾

Rabbiğfirliy ve livalideyye ve limen de hale beytiye mu´minen ve lilmu´miniyne velmu´minati ve la tezidizzalimiyne illa tebaren

“O my Lord! Forgive me, my parents, all who enter my house in Faith, and (all) believing men and believing women: and to the wrong-doers grant Thou no increase but in perdition”
