Surah Al-Jinn

قُلۡ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّهُ ٱسۡتَمَعَ نَفَرࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ فَقَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا سَمِعۡنَا قُرۡءَانًا عَجَبࣰ ا ﴿١﴾

Kul uhıye ileyye ennehusteme´a neferun minelcinni fekalu inna semı´na kur´anen ´aceben

“Say: It has been revealed to me that a company of Jinns listened (to the Qur'an). They said, 'We have really heard a wonderful Recital”

يَهۡدِيٓ إِلَى ٱلرُّشۡدِ فَـَٔامَنَّا بِهِۦۖ وَلَن نُّشۡرِكَ بِرَبِّنَآ أَحَدࣰ ا ﴿٢﴾

Yehdiy ilerruşdi feamenna bihi ve len nuşrike birabbina ehaden

“It gives guidance to the Right, and we have believed therein: we shall not join (in worship) any (gods) with our Lord”

وَأَنَّهُۥ تَعَٰلَىٰ جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا ٱتَّخَذَ صَٰحِبَةࣰ وَلَا وَلَدࣰ ا ﴿٣﴾

Ve ennehu te´ala ceddu rabbina mettehaze sahıbeten ve la veleden

“And Exalted is the Majesty of our Lord: He has taken neither a wife nor a son”

وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ يَقُولُ سَفِيهُنَا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ شَطَطࣰ ا ﴿٤﴾

Ve ennehu kane yekulu sefiyhuna ´alellahi şetatatan

“There were some foolish ones among us, who used to utter extravagant lies against God”

وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّآ أَن لَّن تَقُولَ ٱلۡإِنسُ وَٱلۡجِنُّ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبࣰ ا ﴿٥﴾

Ve enna zanenna en len tekulen´insu velcinnu ´alellahi keziben

“But we do think that no man or spirit should say aught that untrue against God”

وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ رِجَالࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡإِنسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالࣲ مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمۡ رَهَقࣰ ا ﴿٦﴾

Ve ennehu kane ricalun minel´insi ye´uzune biricalin minelcinni fezaduhum rehekan

“True, there were persons among mankind who took shelter with persons among the Jinns, but they increased them in folly”

وَأَنَّهُمۡ ظَنُّواْ كَمَا ظَنَنتُمۡ أَن لَّن يَبۡعَثَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدࣰ ا ﴿٧﴾

Ve ennehum zannu kema zanentum en len yeb´asallahu ehaden

“And they (came to) think as ye thought, that God would not raise up any one (to Judgment)”

وَأَنَّا لَمَسۡنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ فَوَجَدۡنَٰهَا مُلِئَتۡ حَرَسࣰ ا شَدِيدࣰ ا وَشُهُبࣰ ا ﴿٨﴾

Ve enna lemesnessemae fevecednaha muliet haresen şediyden ve şuhuben

“And we pried into the secrets of heaven; but we found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires”

وَأَنَّا كُنَّا نَقۡعُدُ مِنۡهَا مَقَٰعِدَ لِلسَّمۡعِۖ فَمَن يَسۡتَمِعِ ٱلۡأٓنَ يَجِدۡ لَهُۥ شِهَابࣰ ا رَّصَدࣰ ا ﴿٩﴾

Ve enna kunna nak´udu minha meka´ıde lissem´ı femen yestemi´ıl´ane yecid lehu şihahaben resaden

“We used, indeed, to sit there in (hidden) stations, to (steal) a hearing; but any who listen now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush”

وَأَنَّا لَا نَدۡرِيٓ أَشَرٌّ أُرِيدَ بِمَن فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَمۡ أَرَادَ بِهِمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ رَشَدࣰ ا ﴿١٠﴾

Ve enna la nedriy eşerrun uriyde bimen fiyl´ardı em erade bihim rabbuhum reşeden

“And we understand not whether ill is intended to those on earth, or whether their Lord (really) intends to guide them to right conduct”

وَأَنَّا مِنَّا ٱلصَّٰلِحُونَ وَمِنَّا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَۖ كُنَّا طَرَآئِقَ قِدَدࣰ ا ﴿١١﴾

Ve enna minnessalihune ve minna dune zalike kunna taraika kıdeden

“There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary: we follow divergent paths”

وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّآ أَن لَّن نُّعۡجِزَ ٱللَّهَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَن نُّعۡجِزَهُۥ هَرَبࣰ ا ﴿١٢﴾

Ve enna zanenna en len nu´cizallahe fiyl´ardı ve len nu´cizehu hereben

“But we think that we can by no means frustrate God throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight”

وَأَنَّا لَمَّا سَمِعۡنَا ٱلۡهُدَىٰٓ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦۖ فَمَن يُؤۡمِنۢ بِرَبِّهِۦ فَلَا يَخَافُ بَخۡسࣰ ا وَلَا رَهَقࣰ ا ﴿١٣﴾

Ve enna lema semi´nelhuda amenna bihi femen yu´min birabbihi fela yehafu bahsen ve la rehekan

“And as for us, since we have listened to the Guidance, we have accepted it: and any who believes in his Lord has no fear, either of a short (account) or of any injustice”

وَأَنَّا مِنَّا ٱلۡمُسۡلِمُونَ وَمِنَّا ٱلۡقَٰسِطُونَۖ فَمَنۡ أَسۡلَمَ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ تَحَرَّوۡاْ رَشَدࣰ ا ﴿١٤﴾

Ve enna minnelmuslimune ve minnelkasitune femen esleme feulaike teharrev reşeden

“Amongst us are some that submit their wills (to God), and some that swerve from justice. Now those who submit their wills - they have sought out (the path) of right conduct”

وَأَمَّا ٱلۡقَٰسِطُونَ فَكَانُواْ لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَبࣰ ا ﴿١٥﴾

Ve emmelkasitune fekanu licehenneme hataben

“But those who swerve,- they are (but) fuel for Hell-fire”

وَأَلَّوِ ٱسۡتَقَٰمُواْ عَلَى ٱلطَّرِيقَةِ لَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰهُم مَّآءً غَدَقࣰ ا ﴿١٦﴾

Ve en levistekamu ´alettariykati leeskaynahum maen ğadekan

“(And God's Message is): "If they (the Pagans) had (only) remained on the (right) Way, We should certainly have bestowed on them Rain in abundance”

لِّنَفۡتِنَهُمۡ فِيهِۚ وَمَن يُعۡرِضۡ عَن ذِكۡرِ رَبِّهِۦ يَسۡلُكۡهُ عَذَابࣰ ا صَعَدࣰ ا ﴿١٧﴾

Lineftinehum fiyhi ve men yu´rıd ´an zikri rabbihi yeslukhu ´azaben sa´aden

“That We might try them by that (means). But if any turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will cause him to undergo a severe Penalty”

وَأَنَّ ٱلۡمَسَٰجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَا تَدۡعُواْ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ أَحَدࣰ ا ﴿١٨﴾

Ve ennelmesacide lillahi fela ted´u ma´allahi ehaden

“And the places of worship are for God (alone): So invoke not any one along with God”

وَأَنَّهُۥ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبۡدُ ٱللَّهِ يَدۡعُوهُ كَادُواْ يَكُونُونَ عَلَيۡهِ لِبَدࣰ ا ﴿١٩﴾

Ve ennehu lemma kame ´abdullahi yed´uhu kadu yekunune ´aleyhi libeden

“Yet when the Devotee of God stands forth to invoke Him, they just make round him a dense crowd”

قُلۡ إِنَّمَآ أَدۡعُواْ رَبِّي وَلَآ أُشۡرِكُ بِهِۦٓ أَحَدࣰ ا ﴿٢٠﴾

Kul innema ed´u rabbiy ve la uşriku bihi ehaden

“Say: "I do no more than invoke my Lord, and I join not with Him any (false god)”

قُلۡ إِنِّي لَآ أَمۡلِكُ لَكُمۡ ضَرࣰّ ا وَلَا رَشَدࣰ ا ﴿٢١﴾

Kul inniy la emliku lekum darran ve la reşeden

“Say: "It is not in my power to cause you harm, or to bring you to right conduct”

قُلۡ إِنِّي لَن يُجِيرَنِي مِنَ ٱللَّهِ أَحَدࣱ وَلَنۡ أَجِدَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مُلۡتَحَدًا ﴿٢٢﴾

Kul inniy len yuciyreniy minallahi ehadun ve len ecide min dunihi multehaden

“Say: "No one can deliver me from God (If I were to disobey Him), nor should I find refuge except in Him”

إِلَّا بَلَٰغࣰ ا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِسَٰلَٰتِهِۦۚ وَمَن يَعۡصِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا ﴿٢٣﴾

İlla belağan minallahi ve risalatihi ve men ya´sıllahe ve resulehu feinne lehu nare cehenneme halidiyne fiyha ebeden

“Unless I proclaim what I receive from God and His Messages: for any that disobey God and His Apostle,- for them is Hell: they shall dwell therein for ever”

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَأَوۡاْ مَا يُوعَدُونَ فَسَيَعۡلَمُونَ مَنۡ أَضۡعَفُ نَاصِرࣰ ا وَأَقَلُّ عَدَدࣰ ا ﴿٢٤﴾

Hatta iza reev ma yu´adune feseya´lemune men ed´afu nasıren ve ekallu ´adeden

“At length, when they see (with their own eyes) that which they are promised,- then will they know who it is that is weakest in (his) helper and least important in point of numbers”

قُلۡ إِنۡ أَدۡرِيٓ أَقَرِيبࣱ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ أَمۡ يَجۡعَلُ لَهُۥ رَبِّيٓ أَمَدًا ﴿٢٥﴾

Kul in edriy ekariybun ma tu´adune em yec´alu lehu rabbiy emeden

“Say: "I know not whether the (Punishment) which ye are promised is near, or whether my Lord will appoint for it a distant term”

عَٰلِمُ ٱلۡغَيۡبِ فَلَا يُظۡهِرُ عَلَىٰ غَيۡبِهِۦٓ أَحَدًا ﴿٢٦﴾

´Almulğaybi fela yuzhiru ´ala ğaybihi ehaden

“He (alone) knows the Unseen, nor does He make any one acquainted with His Mysteries”

إِلَّا مَنِ ٱرۡتَضَىٰ مِن رَّسُولࣲ فَإِنَّهُۥ يَسۡلُكُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِ يَدَيۡهِ وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهِۦ رَصَدࣰ ا ﴿٢٧﴾

İlla menirteda min resulin feinnehu yesluku min beyni yedeyhi ve min halfihi resaden

“Except an apostle whom He has chosen: and then He makes a band of watchers march before him and behind him”

لِّيَعۡلَمَ أَن قَدۡ أَبۡلَغُواْ رِسَٰلَٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَأَحَاطَ بِمَا لَدَيۡهِمۡ وَأَحۡصَىٰ كُلَّ شَيۡءٍ عَدَدَۢا ﴿٢٨﴾

Liya´leme en kad ebleğu risalati rabbihim ve ehata bima lediyhim ve ahsa kulle şey´in ´adeden

“That He may know that they have (truly) brought and delivered the Messages of their Lord: and He surrounds (all the mysteries) that are with them, and takes account of every single thing”
