Surah Al-Mutaffifin

وَيۡلࣱ لِّلۡمُطَفِّفِينَ ﴿١﴾

Veylun lilmutaffifiyne

“Woe to those that deal in fraud”

ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكۡتَالُواْ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسۡتَوۡفُونَ ﴿٢﴾

Elleziyne izektalu ´alennasi yestevfune

“Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, exact full measure”

وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمۡ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمۡ يُخۡسِرُونَ ﴿٣﴾

Ve iza kaluhum ev vezenuhum yuhsirune

“But when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due”

أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبۡعُوثُونَ ﴿٤﴾

Ela yezunnu ulaike ennehum meb´usune

“Do they not think that they will be called to account”

لِيَوۡمٍ عَظِيمࣲ‏ ﴿٥﴾

Liyevmin ´azıymin

“On a Mighty Day”

يَوۡمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿٦﴾

Yevme yekumunnasu lirabbil´alemiyne

“A Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the Worlds”

كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلۡفُجَّارِ لَفِي سِجِّينࣲ‏ ﴿٧﴾

Kella inne kitabelfuccari lefiy sicciynin

“Nay! Surely the record of the wicked is (preserved) in Sijjin”

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّينࣱ‏ ﴿٨﴾

Ve ma edrake ma sicciynun

“And what will explain to thee what Sijjin is”

كِتَٰبࣱ مَّرۡقُومࣱ‏ ﴿٩﴾

Kitabun merkumun

“(There is) a Register (fully) inscribed”

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ ﴿١٠﴾

Veylun yevmeizin lilmukezzibiyne

“Woe, that Day, to those that deny”

ٱلَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ ﴿١١﴾

Elleziyne yukezzibune biyevmiddiyni

“Those that deny the Day of Judgment”

وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعۡتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ ﴿١٢﴾

Ve ma yukezzibu bihi illa kullu mu´tedin esiymin

“And none can deny it but the Transgressor beyond bounds the Sinner”

إِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ ﴿١٣﴾

İza tutla aleyhi ayatuna kale esatıyrul´evveliyne

“When Our Signs are rehearsed to him, he says, "Tales of the ancients”

كَلَّاۖ بَلۡۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ ﴿١٤﴾

Kella bel rane ´ala kulubihim ma kanu yeksibune

“By no means! but on their hearts is the stain of the (ill) which they do”

كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمۡ عَن رَّبِّهِمۡ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لَّمَحۡجُوبُونَ ﴿١٥﴾

Kella innehum ´an rabbihim yevmeizin lemahcubune

“Verily, from (the Light of) their Lord, that Day, will they be veiled”

ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمۡ لَصَالُواْ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ ﴿١٦﴾

Summe innehum lesalulcahıymi

“Further, they will enter the Fire of Hell”

ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿١٧﴾

Summe yukalu hazelleziy kuntum bihi tukezzibune

“Further, it will be said to them: "This is the (reality) which ye rejected as false”

كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارِ لَفِي عِلِّيِّينَ ﴿١٨﴾

Kella inne kitabel´ebrari lefiy ´ılliyyiyne

“Nay, verily the record of the Righteous is (preserved) in 'Illiyin”

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ ﴿١٩﴾

Ve ma edrake ma ´ılliyyune

“And what will explain to thee what 'Illiyun is”

كِتَٰبࣱ مَّرۡقُومࣱ‏ ﴿٢٠﴾

Kitabun merkumun

“(There is) a Register (fully) inscribed”

يَشۡهَدُهُ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ ﴿٢١﴾

Yeşheduhulmukarrebune

“To which bear witness those Nearest (to God)”

إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ ﴿٢٢﴾

İnnelebrare. Lefiy na´ıymin

“Truly the Righteous will be in Bliss”

عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ ﴿٢٣﴾

´Alel´eraiki yenzurune

“On Thrones (of Dignity) will they command a sight (of all things)”

تَعۡرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِهِمۡ نَضۡرَةَ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ﴿٢٤﴾

Ta´rifu fiy vucuhihim nadretenna´ıymi

“Thou wilt recognise in their faces the beaming brightness of Bliss”

يُسۡقَوۡنَ مِن رَّحِيقࣲ مَّخۡتُومٍ ﴿٢٥﴾

Yuskavne min rahıykın mahtumin

“Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine sealed”

خِتَٰمُهُۥ مِسۡكࣱۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكَ فَلۡيَتَنَافَسِ ٱلۡمُتَنَٰفِسُونَ ﴿٢٦﴾

Hıtamuhu miskun ve fiy zalike felyetenafesilmutenasifune

“The seal thereof will be Musk: And for this let those aspire, who have aspirations”

وَمِزَاجُهُۥ مِن تَسۡنِيمٍ ﴿٢٧﴾

Ve mizacuhu min tesniymin

“With it will be (given) a mixture of Tasnim”

عَيۡنࣰ ا يَشۡرَبُ بِهَا ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ ﴿٢٨﴾

Aynen yeşrebu bihelmukarrebune

“A spring, from (the waters) whereof drink those Nearest to God”

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجۡرَمُواْ كَانُواْ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ يَضۡحَكُونَ ﴿٢٩﴾

İnnelleziyne ecremu kanu minelleziyne amenu yadhakune

“Those in sin used to laugh at those who believed”

وَإِذَا مَرُّواْ بِهِمۡ يَتَغَامَزُونَ ﴿٣٠﴾

Ve iza merru bihim yeteğamezune

“And whenever they passed by them, used to wink at each other (in mockery)”

وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓاْ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُواْ فَكِهِينَ ﴿٣١﴾

Ve izenkalebu ila ehlihimunkalebu fekihiyne

“And when they returned to their own people, they would return jesting”

وَإِذَا رَأَوۡهُمۡ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ ﴿٣٢﴾

Ve iza reevhum kalu inne haulai ledallune

“And whenever they saw them, they would say, "Behold! These are the people truly astray”

وَمَآ أُرۡسِلُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَٰفِظِينَ ﴿٣٣﴾

Ve ma ursilu ´aleyhim hafizıyne

“But they had not been sent as keepers over them”

فَٱلۡيَوۡمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡكُفَّارِ يَضۡحَكُونَ ﴿٣٤﴾

Felyevmelleziyne amenu minelkuffari yadhakune

“But on this Day the Believers will laugh at the Unbelievers”

عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ ﴿٣٥﴾

´Alel´eraiki yenzurune

“On Thrones (of Dignity) they will command (a sight) (of all things)”

هَلۡ ثُوِّبَ ٱلۡكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُواْ يَفۡعَلُونَ ﴿٣٦﴾

Hel suvvibelkuffaru ma kanu yef´alune

“Will not the Unbelievers have been paid back for what they did”
