Meaning
O Allah! Incline toward me and warm toward me the hearts of all Your servants, among mankind and jinn. Bind their hearts to me with a lasting love that endures night and day. You are the One who turns hearts and eyes.
What Is Asked in This Dua
In this dua, the servant asks Allah to incline the hearts of people and jinn toward them and to warm them to them. Being loved and accepted is a blessing that is not in human hands; hearts turn only by the will of the One who created them. Knowing this, the servant asks Allah directly to turn hearts toward them.
The love asked for is not a passing interest but a lasting, continuous affection that endures night and day. At the end of the dua, the servant remembers Allah with the attribute “the One who turns hearts and eyes.” This expression carries both the reason for the dua and its hope: Allah, who turns hearts however He wills, can, if He wills, also bind the hearts of His servants to a person. The servant asks for love not from people but from the Owner of hearts.
